Plagiarism Policy

The authors should ensure the originality of their content while preparing a manuscript draft. If the authors have used the work and/or words of others, this must be appropriately cited or quoted. All articles submitted to JPTN shall be screened for plagiarism using Turnitin (online plagiarism detection software). Plagiarism in a submitted manuscript should not exceed 20% to qualify for the review process.

In case plagiarism is detected during the review/editorial process, such manuscript(s) will be rejected immediately. If plagiarism is proven after publication, the manuscript(s) will be retracted from the journal and an appropriate announcement will be placed. Appropriate action may also be taken against the authors depending on the seriousness of the case, including:

  1. Debarring the authors from publication in the future.
  2. Notifying the author’s funding agencies, affiliated institutes, and the original authors whose work has been plagiarized.
