Author Guidelines
The Journal of PharmTechNova (JPTN) welcomes high-quality submissions that advance pharmaceutical sciences, pharmaceutical technology, biomedical research, and allied disciplines. Authors are requested to carefully follow the instructions below to ensure smooth peer review, editorial processing, and publication.
1. Types of Manuscripts Accepted
JPTN publishes:

- Technical Notes/Methodological Papers
2. Peer Review Policy
JPTN follows a double-blind peer review process.
- Author names, affiliations, and identifying details must not appear in the main manuscript file.
- Submit author information separately during online submission.
- Self-identifying statements should be avoided in the manuscript text.
3. Manuscript Preparation and Formatting
General Format
- Font: Palatino Linotype
- Line spacing: Single
- Clear section headings and subheadings
- Figures and tables embedded within the text near first citation
- Continuous page numbering
4. Manuscript Structure
Authors should organize manuscripts in the following order:
Title Page (submitted separately)
- Full article title
- Author names and affiliations
- Corresponding author details
- ORCID (if available)
Blinded Manuscript File
- Article Title
- Article Type
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Main Text
- Declarations
- References
5. Abstract and Keywords
Abstract
- Maximum 250 words
- Single paragraph or structured format
- Should include:
- Aim/Background
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusions
Keywords
- Up to 8 keywords
- Avoid repeating words from the title
6. Main Text Organization
1. Introduction
- Provide background and research context
- Highlight research gap
- State objectives clearly
2. Materials and Methods
- Provide sufficient details for reproducibility
- Include:
- Materials, chemicals, instruments
- Experimental procedures
- Statistical analysis
- Data sources
For studies involving:
- Humans → informed consent required
- Animals → ethical approval mandatory
- Clinical studies → approval number must be stated
3. Results and Discussion
- Present findings clearly
- Interpret results critically
- Compare with previous literature
- Use subheadings if necessary
Figures and Tables
- Cite sequentially (Figure 1, Table 1, etc.)
- Provide clear captions
- Place near first mention in text
4. Conclusion
- Summarize key findings
- Highlight significance
- Mention future prospects
7. Equations, Symbols, and Units
- Number all equations sequentially
- Use SI units
- Define symbols at first use
8. Data Availability and Transparency
Authors must include:
Data Availability Statement
State where data are available or provide:
“Available from the corresponding author on reasonable request” or “Not applicable”
Ethics Statement
Provide approval body and reference number (if applicable)
Informed Consent Statement
Required for human studies
9. Figures and Artwork
- High resolution (minimum 300 dpi)
- Accepted formats: TIFF, JPEG, PNG, EPS
- Avoid duplication of data between tables and figures
10. References
JPTN follows the NLM/Vancouver style.
Guidelines:
- Number references consecutively [1], [2], [3]
- Cite in order of appearance
- List first six authors followed by et al.
- Include DOI where available
- Follow ICMJE standards

11. Ethical and Publishing Policies
Authors must confirm:
- Original work not published elsewhere
- No plagiarism
- All authors approve submission

All articles are published under Creative Commons licensing, ensuring free access, distribution, and reuse with appropriate citation.
